Have you ever noticed that you get exactly what you ask for,even if not in the form you were expecting?
I asked for unattachment to money,to feel secure and trust,even when things feel rocky –money is only money,after all –and I got a multitude of opportunities to practice just that.
A few things came up this weekend that aren’t public knowledge yet so I can’t really talk about them,but suffice it to say that all at once,I’m more financially invested in something and my income has potentially been shaken. (And I got a parking ticket –dang!)
It’s not particularly a bad thing,just a change I wasn’t really expecting. I’m taking it as a chance to not only make a positive change in my life,but to learn that money is impermanent,I have value,and to practice being grateful for challenges.
Money was made to be spent. We will never have “enough”to be secure;look at all the filthy rich that go bankrupt or all the people who have literally lost their life savings in the financial crisis –no matter how much you save or plan,it is ultimately out of your control. I choose to be happy,to take care of and value myself above all else. I will never live on the street corner,I’m too smart and resourceful,so as long as I am following my gut instinct,I will be ok. When I trust,I am taken care of (that’s my new mantra).
